At Indi Stone, we understand that not every delivery site has forklift access or a loading dock. That’s why we offer tail lift lorry delivery—a safe and efficient solution for unloading heavy or bulky items directly to ground level.

What to Expect

Our tail lift vehicles are equipped with hydraulic platforms that make unloading simple and secure. This service is ideal for:

• Residential addresses
• Retail stores
• Construction sites
• Urban locations with limited access

Delivery Guidelines

To ensure a smooth delivery experience, please note:

• Access Requirements: A clear, level surface is needed for the lorry to park and operate the tail lift safely.
• Unloading: Goods will be lowered to ground level using the tail lift. Our drivers are not responsible for moving items beyond the drop-off point.
• Receiving Goods: Please ensure someone is available on-site to accept and guide the delivery.

If your site has specific access restrictions or handling needs, we recommend contacting our logistics team in advance so we can tailor the delivery to suit you.

Access Road Guidelines

To ensure smooth delivery, please make sure:

• Roads are firm, level, and wide enough (min. 3m)
• Overhead clearance is at least 4m
• No obstructions like parked cars or low branches
• Site is accessible for large vehicles (up to 18 tonnes)

If your location has restricted access, please contact us at least 24 hours before delivery.

Road Surface Requirements for HGV Deliveries

To ensure safe and successful delivery, access roads must be suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). Please ensure:

• Roads are firm, stable, and well-compacted
• Surfaces like concrete, tarmac, or solid hardcore are preferred
• Avoid soft ground, loose gravel, or muddy areas
• Proper drainage is essential to prevent waterlogging

If you're unsure about your site's suitability, feel free to contact our logistics team for guidance before delivery.

Delivery Point

Deliveries are made to the nearest accessible point at your property, typically the kerbside, driveway, or designated drop-off area. Please ensure the delivery point is on a level, flat, and hard surface, clear of obstructions, and suitable for unloading. Our drivers are not permitted to move goods beyond this location.

Request Samples

Our samples can be found on the relevant product page in the list of purchasing options.

If there is no sample listed on the product page you are interested in, that means unfortunately we currently cannot offer samples for that product.

A typical sample is roughly 200mmx100mm (The size of a house brick) and about 10mm in thickness.

Samples are charged at £8.99 including delivery.

Please note, we aim to deliver all samples within 5-7 working days.

Colour / tone variations in natural stone

Due to the nature of the material, no two pavers are alike. Particular shades of natural stone will have a slight colour variation. Where appropriate, we will supply a leaflet that will help demonstrate this variation in colour.

Please Note - Samples are not available on Clearance Products.

Due to the limited stock/availability of clearance products, unfortunately, we cannot cannibalise them to provide samples.

If you need a specific amount of paving we offer mini-packs for most of our best selling products that will allow you to achieve the right coverage in most cases. However, if you don't see an available mini-pack option you can call our team during office hours to arrange for a split pack order.

Need a specific amount - call our team now and we can arrange splitting down a pallet so you get specifically what you need.

Pallets that are split down are not included as free delivery. Standard Split Pack Pallet Delivery Fee Applies, which is £75 (Expedited options may incur extra charges - POA). This £75 covers the extra charge of a new wooden crate / pallet, packaging, labour & haulage delivery charge.

What is a split pack?

Paving products are palletised or crated to allow them to be transported and stored efficiently. This means they are generally sold with a specific number of pieces per pallet/crate. However, customers sometimes need less than a full pallet for their project. In these cases, we can split down the pallet by hand and then re-pack, re-bind and re-hood the pallet so they receive just the paving they need, saving you money on buying a full pack and having wasted slabs left over. Please remember to include 10% extra on your measured area for cuts/corners/breakage

Split Pack Exclusions

Please note we cannot split down packs of Bekstone Walling or Clearance Products.
